Stock exchange in Frankfurt: Dax is falling again after a strong start to the week

After its lively start to the week, the Dax started trading a little lower on Tuesday. Shortly after the start, the leading German index fell by 0.46 percent to 18,234.39 points. The MDax of medium-sized stock market stocks fell by 0.21 percent to 27,079.85 points. The EuroStoxx 50, the leading index for the Euroregion, was 0.38 percent in the red at 5,026.71 points. The US stock exchanges did not move the day before, Asia was inconsistent.

The leading German index has so far avoided a major correction after last week's record high of 18,567 points. There has still been a DAX gain of almost nine percent since the beginning of the year. Analysts do not rule out that prices will initially remain at a high level until the upcoming season of quarterly balance sheets from the USA provides new impetus. Nevertheless, a setback after the rally of the previous months would not be surprising. US inflation data on Wednesday and the interest rate decision by the European Central Bank (ECB) on Thursday will be important for investors.
