The Dax continued its stabilization in the middle of the week. Shortly after the opening, it gained 0.56 percent to 15,934.86 points. The round mark of 16,000 points thus moves back into focus. The MDax for medium-sized companies rose by 0.60 percent to 27,055.73 points on Wednesday. The leading eurozone index, the EuroStoxx 50, also rose by around 0.6 percent.
Support came from Wall Street, where the rally was solidified after the European close. Technology stocks in particular were in demand again after the recent correction.
In Asia, the Japanese stock exchange in particular took up this template. In China, on the other hand, things were a bit more subdued after weak data on earnings development in industry. Reports of possible further US restrictions on exports of high-performance chips to China also had a somewhat negative impact.
