The Dax weakened on Wednesday morning. The leading German index lost 0.41 percent to 15,973.82 points in the first few minutes of trading, continuing the recent setback.

Without stimulus from Wall Street being closed for the holiday, trading lacked fresh impetus. The MDax of medium-sized companies collapsed even more significantly shortly after the start of trading. He lost 0.78 percent to 27,604.49 points. The Eurozone leading index EuroStoxx 50 fell by 0.37 percent to 4374.85 points.
