Weak business figures from chemical companies weighed on the mood, as did ongoing concerns about inflation and interest rates. The leading German index fell by 1 percent to 15,153.91 points. The MDax of medium-sized stocks lost 0.83 percent to 28,342.85 points. The leading eurozone index, the EuroStoxx 50, fell by 0.80 percent.
