The Dax continued to fall from its high price level on Wednesday. In view of weak price developments on the overseas stock exchanges, the leading German index lost 0.16 percent to 14,320.83 points in the first few minutes of trading. It is thus heading for the third day of losses in a row after reaching its highest level since June at 14,584 points on Friday.

The MDax of medium-sized German stocks fell by 0.59 percent to 25,477.83 points on Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, the leading eurozone index, the EuroStoxx 50, was almost flat.
