The Fiat 500e not only looks great, with its electric drive it is also the ideal speedster for the city centre. Now the sting of the scorpion is sharpened and Stellantis adds an Abarth version - just as worth seeing as the 500e - but a lot sportier. Because its electric motor on the front axle delivers a powerful 115 kW / 155 PS / 235 Nm maximum torque and thus accelerates even more snappy than the well-known sporty Abarth versions with their all too grumpy roaring combustion engines. It goes from zero to 100 km/h in seven seconds. The top speed is 160 km/h. “In fact, with every change made to Abarth, we want to achieve the best driving performance. This is exactly how our founder Carlo Abarth has always done it. From this point of view, nothing has changed: it's about better acceleration, better handling and more fun. Then there's Abarth's legendary signature – its sound,” says Olivier Francois, CEO of Fiat and Abarth.

Visually, the Abarth 500e differs from its tamer brother with a modified front bumper, modified side skirts, rear diffuser insert, as well as special alloy wheels and mirror caps. Last but not least, the Abarth 500 combustion engine models draw attention to themselves with their beefy, sonorous sound. The purely electric Abarth 500e should also offer this with a special sound generator. If you don't want this, you can disable it. Despite sporty driving performance, the most powerful of all 500s has unfortunately not improved in one discipline. Like the Fiat 500e, the Abarth 500e offers a tired performance for a vehicle of the year 2023 with a maximum charging speed of just 85 kilowatts. Its electric range with the 42 kWh battery in the underbody is a manageable 250 kilometers. However, that should be enough for most customers. The standard consumption is 18.0 kWh per 100 kilometers.

In the Abarth 500e, the driver can distinguish between the three driving modes Turismo, Scorpion Street and Scorpion Track. In the first two driving levels, the small northern Italian can also be moved in single-pedal mode with maximum recuperation. Those who are particularly fast can secure one of the 1949 vehicles of the Abarth 500e Scorpionissima Edition. This is a particularly exclusive, fully equipped launch edition of the first electric Abarth. The vehicle is available both as a sedan and as a convertible version and comes in either Acid Green or Poison Blue paint finishes. Among other things, there are 18-inch alloy wheels, navigation / sound system, heated Alcantara sports seats, digital instruments and keyless entry and various security systems.
