Gas storage: Netzagentur: Transmission error with gas level

According to the Federal Network Agency, a significant drop in the filling level in German gas storage facilities reported on the website of Europe's gas infrastructure operator (GIE) is due to a transmission error. "We think this is a data transmission error," said a spokesman for the supervisory authority on Saturday of the German Press Agency. Due to the warm weather, no gas is currently being withdrawn.

The GIE website showed a filling level of only 89.56 percent for the German gas storage facilities on Saturday morning and at the same time reported an increase in the filling level of 0.12 percentage points. On Friday, however, the website reported a fill level of 95.14 percent. This level was also specified by the Federal Network Agency in its management report. Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck (Greens) described reaching the 95 percent mark as an "important milestone".

The level information is always reported with a delay. The 89.56 percent given on Saturday refers to the fill level on Thursday.
