Environment: Greenwashing or really sustainable? How the new "green flying" works at Lufthansa

The decision is made when booking. Passengers decide whether they want to spend more money on more sustainable flying. Then he books the "Green Fare" tariff. Example: A "green flight" from Frankfurt to Madrid then costs 239 euros instead of 189 in economy class or 129 euros in economy light. The green fare includes baggage, seat reservation and additional status and award miles. Tests in Scandinavia have shown that around two percent of passengers currently buy green tickets. Lufthansa's goal is to sell every 20th guest a green ticket.
