Begoña Gómez, the wife of the President of the Prime Minister, has broken her contract with the Instituto de Empresa (IE) to face a new professional stage at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). IE sources confirm to ABC the departure of Gómez "some time ago", although it did take place in the current year, by her own decision and to embark on a new work stage. Gómez is now one of the professors of the Master in Fundraising Management at the Complutense University of Madrid, an institution with which she has been linked in recent years.

In 2022, Pedro Sánchez's wife left her position as director of the Africa Center at IE University, a position now held by Eniola Harrison.

The new director, until now Head of Programs and Partnerships of the center, is an expert committed to the transformation of Africa and founder of HdH Consulting

Gómez has directed since September 2018, when it was created, the IE Africa Center, a center dedicated to promoting innovation, executive leadership, entrepreneurship and the development of social action projects on the African continent. Before joining IE, Pedro Sánchez's wife had served as co-director of the Master in Public and Private Fundraising for Non-Profit Organizations at the Higher Center for Management Studies of the Complutense University of Madrid.

The former director of the IE Africa Center has a degree in Marketing from the ESIC and is specialized in the design and implementation of strategic projects, with a focus on fundraising and sustainability.

From IE they remember that they have been working for 15 years in the development of training and social impact programs in countries such as Ghana, Ethiopia, South Africa or Nigeria. The academic institution has delegations in Lagos and Johannesburg, and has international agreements with institutions such as the universities of Cape Town, Pretoria, Ashesi, Université International de Rabat or American University in Cairo.
