Automaker: Volvo recalls cars because of software problem

Volvo Cars is recalling almost 107,000 cars to workshops worldwide, 7,000 of them in Germany. The reason for this is a potential problem with the software in the brake control module, as a spokesman for the Swedish carmaker announced on Tuesday when asked by dpa.

In rare cases, this can result in electronic brake support functions being lost while driving. In this case, you can still brake using the brake pedal.

The recall involves certain 2023 model year versions of the XC40, C40, S60, V60, V60 Cross Country, XC60, S90, S90L, V90, V90 Cross Country and XC90 vehicle models.
