After the heat, the thunderstorms. Météo-France has placed 13 departments in vigilance orange for storm phenomena, which should start at the end of the morning. Are concerned : the Calvados, Côtes-d'armor, Brittany, Indre-et-Loire, Loire-Atlantique, Ille-et-Vilaine, Maine-et-Loire, Manche, Mayenne, Morbihan, Orne, Sarthe and the Vendée (85). The episode will be brief (1 or 2 hours) but intense with hail, heavy rains, electrical activity the notable and gusts may locally exceed 100 km/h.
In the early evening, the thunder will be more numerous over a quarter of south-west. The showers can be sustained. In the North-East, small thundershowers will occur in the day. They will strengthen in the evening. In the South-East, the low clouds present in the gulf of Lion in the morning will dissipate over the hours. The weather will remain dry with a sky variable of Provence in the Rhone-Alpes. The showers accompanied by thunder will develop over the Alps and the Massif central.
End of the heat wave Thursday
Thirteen departments of the north of the country remain vigilant red heat. The vigilance heatwave has been thrown in the departments of Eure and Seine-Maritime. Fifty-three departments in the south-west to north-east are in vigilance orange. The minimum will remain quite high, with 17 to 20 degrees, in general, up to 20 to 22 on the Hauts-de-France and in the South-West.

The maximum reach of 21 to 28 degrees in Brittany and along the atlantic coast, 30 to 34 degrees of Normandy to the south-west and along the Mediterranean, up to 33 or 36 degrees of the Provence to the Hauts-de-France, passing through the North-East. The end of the heat wave is expected, according to Météo-France, Thursday, to 21 hours.
