A session outstanding, exceptional results. Whereas 91,5 % of the students had already had the tray for the first time, they are almost 96% of the 745.900 candidates for the bachelor of 2020 to have been received at the end of the first session of catch-up, 7.6 points more than in 2019, announced Saturday the ministry of national Education. Because of the crisis of the sars coronavirus, the final proofs have been removed and only have counted the notes of the first and second quarters for the issue of the review. Approximately 40 000 students whose final grade was between 8 and 10 have nevertheless had to spend a catch-up, had indicated on Friday the minister of national Education Jean-Michel Blanquer.
In retail, the high school students in the general stream are 98.4 per cent to have completed their bac (compared to be 91.2 2019). For bachelor's degrees in technology, the number of graduates reached 95,7 % (compared to 88.1 percent). Finally, 90.7% of the candidates for bachelor's degrees professionals have obtained their degree (compared to 82,3 %). Since at least 1995 there has never been so many candidates to be awarded with the bachelor's degree at the end of the races to catch up. The final results will be known in September.
The issue of higher education
Before the final results, "the proportion of high school graduates in a generation amounted to 86.6% in 2020 (+ 6.9 points compared to June 2019)" says the ministry's press release. This proportion "increases most strongly in the general way (+ 3.6 percentage points), more moderately in the ways technology and professional (respectively + 1.4 and + 1.9 points)." With this record number of high school graduates, the question arises of the entry in the channels of the upper.
"there is a personalized work with each student, so-called commissions rectorales", had said Jean-Michel Blanquer Friday. "We are keeping with (the minister of higher Education) Frédérique Vidal the goal for each person to find a solution".
