The re-opening and then closure of the factory of Renault-Sandouville, located in Seine-Maritime, had caused quite a stir. The factory had resumed its activities on April 28, thanks to a health protocol validated by the CFDT, CFE-CGC and FO, but the court of le Havre, seized by the CGT, had been sentenced in summary proceedings Renault to " suspend the resumption of production ", because it is " not sufficient to ensure (...) the safety of workers ".
The Renault plant in Sandouville (Seine-Maritime) and will re-open on Friday 22 may in the morning, two weeks after having been forced by the courts to close because of the measures deemed to be inadequate in the face of the Covid-19, indicated Wednesday FO and CFE-CGC to the AFP. According to these two unions, the management has announced the reopening at a CES that was held Wednesday morning at Sandouville. The site consists of 1 848 permanent employees.
"This closure is forced by the action of the CGT is very serious"
Laurent Berger, secretary general of the CFDT, condemned the behaviour of the CGT who have obtained justice in the closure of the Renault plant in Sandouville, while a "social dialogue pretty copy" had been held to a recovery is " safely ". "The posture of the CGT is irresponsible and unfounded. (...) This closure forced by the action of the CGT is very serious, " he denounced on France Inter. In a press release, the metal working branch of the Force ouvrière (FO-Metals) had also denounced " a hostage by the CGT and the justice of the 2 000 employees and 700 temporary workers of the factory ".
