It may seem harsh, but such is nature, tells the zoo keeper in Aalborg Zoo Frank Thomsen:

"Now get the dead youth allowed to stay in the cave and shrink. It can also be eaten by Malik," he says to TV 2 Nord.

Particularly the first three days is for isbjørneunger critical, says the zookeeper. It remains to be seen, why the newborn polar bear cub died.

Frank Thomsen says to TV 2 Nord, it may be because the baby has not gotten enough food, or that it may have been pinched by his mother Malik. It is also possible that it has had a congenital disease.
