" This is the largest laboratory of cocaine ever discovered in the netherlands ", said the chief of police Andre van Rijn. "Given the number of people who worked there, the installation, the size, organization and equipment, we estimate the production capacity of between 150 and 200 kg of cocaine per day ", he explained in a press release. Such an amount represented a market value ranging between about 4.5 and six million euros of pure cocaine.

in Addition to tens of thousands of litres of chemicals and equipment, the police seized 100 kg of cocaine base. It has also been discovered in Apeldoorn (centre) 120 tons of the " transport equipment ", mainly clothing impregnated with cocaine intended to be "washed" in the laboratory to extract the drug. The suspects must appear before a judge later in the week.
The netherlands is considered as a major source in Europe for the drug and are working to combat trafficking, particularly the smuggling of cocaine through the port of Rotterdam, the largest port in europe.
