The social media Instagram and Facebook went Thursday afternoon, gone in the black for several users.

'We are aware that some people currently have problems with access to some of the Facebook family of apps - including Instagram,' it said in an announcement, which continued:

'We are working to get everything back to normal as soon as possible.'

While much most users were affected by Instagrams crash, saw several problems with Facebook.

According to the website Down Detector that monitor, among other social media, it was users the world over who were affected by the technical problems.

Here reported that their notification had disappeared, that they couldn't put posters up, and that they could not log in.
