In this way, the Palacio de la Zarzuela informs that Don Felipe will meet his father in Madrid next Monday after his stay in Sanxenxo (Pontevedra), as they were last Sunday after having a telephone conversation from Abu Dhabi, where Don Felipe went to convey his condolences for the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed.

“His Majesty the King Don Juan Carlos has transferred this afternoon to the House of His Majesty the King his wish that he make public his decision to travel to Spain from tomorrow the 19th until next Monday the 23rd of May.

Don Juan Carlos plans to stay during those dates in the Galician town of Sanxenxo, and on Monday 23 to travel to Madrid, to be with His Majesty the King, with Her Majesty Queen Sofía and other members of his family at the Palace of La Operetta. That same day, His Majesty King Juan Carlos will undertake a return trip to Abu Dhabi, where he has established his permanent and stable residence.

As has been reported, Don Juan Carlos will visit Sanxenxo (Pontevedra) to participate in a regatta of the class he has become fond of in recent years, the 6mR, which allows him to sail despite his movement limitations.

Don Juan Carlos, 84 years old, will hold a meeting with friends at the Sanxenxo Yacht Club, with whose president, Pedro Campos, he has a great friendship.
