The new year in Saxony starts with exceptionally mild temperatures. As the German weather service in Leipzig announced, it will remain cloudy on Monday at 14 to 17 degrees Celsius, but largely free of precipitation. A fresh wind is blowing, on the Fichtelberg, the highest mountain in Saxony at around 1215 meters, also with gusts of wind.
At six to eight degrees it continues on Tuesday, with eight to eleven degrees on Wednesday. It remains stormy on the Fichtelberg. Wind gusts can become hurricane-like there on Wednesday. Rain will set in at times on Thursday night.
