Weather: Up to minus ten degrees - frosty nights expected

The temperatures in Germany will continue to drop sharply in the coming days. The German Weather Service (DWD) expects severe frost locally with temperatures around minus ten degrees, especially at night. Even on the usually mild Lower Rhine and on the North Sea islands, the maximum daily temperatures no longer exceed the three-degree mark, as the DWD announced in Offenbach on Friday.

In addition, many regions of Germany will be white at the weekend: on Saturday it will snow mainly in the south and south-east, on Sunday between the Alps and the eastern low mountain range. According to the DWD, only isolated snow showers are to be expected in other parts of the country.

According to the information, the new week will start on Monday with lots of clouds and some snow. In Saxony, the snowfall is likely to last longer. On the Baltic Sea and in the Ore Mountains there are strong to stormy gusts, which can cause snow drifts at higher altitudes.
