Weather: Sunshine replaces a rainy start to the day

Tuesday starts cloudy and partly rainy in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. In the course of the day, however, the sky clears up and the sun appears frequently and in longer sections, as reported by the German Weather Service (DWD). The maximum temperatures are between 17 and 20 degrees, at higher altitudes between 14 and 16 degrees.

In the night to Wednesday there is a chance of rain in some areas, especially in the second half of the night. Temperatures drop to 11 to 6 degrees. Wednesday also started cloudy and rainy. Later, however, it loosens up again and it remains mostly dry. The temperatures rise to up to 22 degrees, in the higher mountains to about 15 degrees. On Thursday it should be mostly clear and dry after the initial fog. The temperatures are a maximum of 22 degrees, in the higher mountains around 16 degrees.
