A violent crime is said to have occurred in the Lichtenberg district of Berlin. A police spokesman said early Friday morning that an investigation was underway on suspicion of homicide and attempted homicide. A homicide commission should therefore be used. The spokesman did not initially give any further details – for example about the victims or the course of events. Nothing was known about the alleged perpetrator or perpetrators in the morning either. Rescue workers could be seen in photos in front of a larger apartment building. Police cordoned off the crime scene.
