Police spokesman Holger Vehren spoke of a "situation that we have not had in Hamburg before." A man had shot at least seven people hours earlier in the Groß Borstel district before turning the gun on himself, according to the investigative status the morning after the act of violence in a Jehovah's Witnesses building.
