The Vaucluse firefighters received an alarm at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. A fire broke out in the kitchen of a 90 m2 apartment in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, rue Garibaldi.

The apartment was located on the ground floor in an apartment building. Firefighters arrived on scene to evacuate the apartment. After inhaling the fumes, a 56 year-old man was taken to hospital.

The 40m2 kitchen was destroyed despite the intervention of 16 firefighters and 5 machines.
