The association Windmühle Greiffenberg (Uckermark) invites you to the grand piano festival on September 10th at the Erdholländermühle on the outskirts of town. The reason for this is the completion of years of reconstruction: in the summer, new blades had made the mill with the characteristic rotating cap complete again. Visitors can be guided through the reconstructed, three-storey landmark of Greiffenberg and watch the grain being ground.

The 15 meter high Erdholländermühle, built in 1830, was in operation until the 1930s and then again a few years after the Second World War. Since its standstill, the historic windmill in GDR times has fallen into disrepair.

The Windmühle Greiffenberg association has been taking care of the reconstruction since 2006. According to the association, more than one million euros from donations were invested.
