Tyreek Hill's accurate comments place even greater pressure on Tua Tagovailoa

Tyreek Hill, Dolphins receiver, debuted Friday's first episode of his podcast, It Needed to Be Said. Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins quarterback, was astonished at some of the comments made.

Hill was asked to make a comparison between Tua and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Can we please stop asking receivers not to compare quarterbacks who are considered the best to those who, well, aren’t? Hill criticized Tua's accuracy more than Mahomes. Hill has not played with Tua in any of his games.

This only adds to the pressure Tua will face in 2022. The Dolphins have already removed any excuses Tua might have for not playing at a high standard in the upcoming season. Hill has now raised the bar, giving media and fans an opportunity to compare the accuracy and Tagovailoa.

Tua has not done enough in his two seasons as an NFL QB to be worthy of being in the conversation alongside Mahomes. It's like comparing Derek Anderson to Tom Brady or Peyton Manning based on his 2007 season. Hill wrote a check to Tua, which he will now have to honor by his 2022 play.

It is better for Tua that he has "haters", real or imagined, doubting him. He can then try to prove them wrong. He'll now have to prove Hill wrong. If Tua doesn’t, an episode of It Needed To Be Said may feature Hill discussing how Miami’s next quarterback, whatever it might be, is even more accurate than Mahomes.
