Two people have died after a shooting at a supermarket in Schwalmstadt-Treysa, a small city northeast of Frankfurt, the German financial capital, according to regional police.

The police, on their Twitter account, have indicated that at this time there is no danger to the population and that the supermarket is cordoned off as part of the police device that has been deployed at the scene.
