One of Germany's most dangerous criminals sits in the dock of the Magdeburg regional court this Thursday: Stephan B., Halle attacker, fanatical right-wing extremist, convicted murderer. In December 2022 he is said to have taken two prison guards into his power and wanted to use the hostages to get out of prison - which is why he is now charged with armed hostage-taking and violating the weapons law.
