Traffic: warning strike at the elevated railway: students are allowed to stay at home

Pupils who come to school late or not at all because of the elevated train strike must not suffer any disadvantages as a result. The school board tweeted this late Tuesday evening. Parents can also deregister their child from their school for Wednesday if the way to school is unreasonable.

Hamburger Hochbahn employees went on a 24-hour warning strike early Wednesday morning. Subways and elevated buses have stopped running since 3 a.m., as Verdi union secretary Magdalene Waldeck said in the morning. "We're assuming that nothing is driving anymore." A replacement service or an emergency timetable is not planned. The S-Bahn and the buses operated by the Hamburg-Holstein transport company (VHH) that operate in Hamburg are not affected.

With the walkout, the employees want to emphasize their demands for more wages.
