Traffic: series of rear-end collisions at the end of traffic jams

There were several traffic accidents on the A3 on Tuesday morning. First, a car collided with a semi-trailer truck near the Kelsterbach junction, the police said. As a result, a traffic jam formed behind the accident site, at the end of which there were several rear-end collisions near Frankfurt Airport. According to the information, two people were trapped in their vehicles and probably slightly injured in the traffic accident with the semi-trailer. How exactly this accident and the other rear-end collisions happened is not yet known. Two lanes were initially closed on the A3 in the direction of Cologne. The scene of the accident has now been cleared and the roadway has been reopened, police said.
