The urban district of Poblados Marítimos in the city of Valencia hosts this Saturday, June 11, the Marta Fernández de Castro Race, organized by the Department of Sports and the Municipal Sports Foundation within the framework of the 2022 popular race calendar, for which there will be traffic cuts and enclosed spaces where parking will be prohibited.

This fourth edition of the race will take place between 8:00 p.m. and 9:10 p.m. through the neighborhoods of Grao and Nazaret, for which the Department of Sustainable Mobility has prepared a special traffic device to guarantee the development of the test with safety for athletes, pedestrians and drivers.

The Ciutat de Valencia 2022 Popular Race Circuit continues its calendar with the IV Marta Fernández de Castro Race, which will be held this Saturday on a 6,000-meter route.

As reported by the FDM, as in all editions of the Racing Circuit, this test will also have the non-competitive modality of walking and Nordic walking, aimed at all audiences and levels.

At the end of the test, the race for children under fourteen will be held with the non-competitive and mixed categories. Depending on the age, different distances will be made: Sub14 (1,000 m), Sub12 (800 m), Sub10 (600 m) and Pre-benjamín (400 m).

The route will start at the confluence of Avenida de Francia and Calle Menorca, and will continue along Avenida de Balears, Calle Joan Verdeguer Engineer Manuel Soto, Pont de les Drassanes, Calle de les Moreres until reaching the roundabout of the Camí del Canal , Moreres again to the roundabout with the CV5010 to make a 180 degree turn without occupying it, and continue along the street of Les Barraques del Figueró, Camí del Canal (without occupying the tram platform), roundabout of the Plaza de les Moreres and Calle de les Moreres, Pont de les Drassanes (leaving a free lane through fences for the exit of traffic in the neighborhood of Nazareth), and again Engineer Manuel Soto, Avenida de Balears, and Calle Menorca, to the finish line on Avenida de France.

As reported by the Traffic Management Center, the assembly of the start and finish area on France Avenue (section between France Avenue and Ibiza Street) is scheduled for the same Saturday, between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., and will be dismantled after 9:15 p.m. As for the placement and assembly of the circuit with cones and fences, it will be done from 6:30 p.m.

For this reason, parking will be restricted in both directions on Avenida Francia (between Menorca and Ibiza streets) from Friday the 10th at 10:00 p.m. until Saturday the 11th at 10:00 p.m. As for the effects on public transport, EMT users can consult all the information in the Last Minute section of the website, the App and on the company's social networks.
