Toledo turns upside down with the pilgrimage of the Angel

The mayor of Toledo, Milagros Tolón, has attended the Santo Ángel Custodio pilgrimage that is held every third Sunday of May in the Cigarral del Ángel, being a unique opportunity to get to know this heritage space and its gardens. It has been a whole weekend full of religious, musical and gastronomic activities that began on Saturday with the performance of the Reunion Jazz Quartet group. This Sunday the mass was celebrated after which the Saint's bread rolls were blessed, which the attendees will receive along with a lemonade.

The mayor, accompanied by the deputy mayor, José Pablo Sabrido, and the spokesperson for the government team, Noelia de la Cruz, highlighted the recovery of pilgrimages as one of the traditions that make up Toledo's hallmark.

Milagros Tolón has had the opportunity to share with the people of Toledo the different proposals and initiatives offered on this day by the Brotherhood of the Holy Guardian Angel, such as the distribution of the threads, the bread of the Saint or the tostones and the lemonade, in addition to the popular game of Quinolas.
