The Court of First Instance and Instruction number 1 of Puebla de Sanabria has opened a case for a possible crime of injury after receiving a complaint from a relative of an elderly inmate in a residence in the town.

As confirmed to Ical by sources from the Superior Court of Castilla y León, the court has requested the woman's complete file from the residence and has ordered the coroner to evaluate the injuries she suffered and issue a report on them.

The complaint was initially filed in the Court of Benavente, the body that sent the case to the Puebla de Sanabria court because it was competent to investigate events that occurred in that judicial district.
