The National Police is investigating the death of a 52-year-old woman whose lifeless body was found this Tuesday afternoon in a house located on the outskirts of the Valencian town of Alzira.

While waiting for the autopsy to be carried out at the Institute of Legal Medicine in Valencia, the first forensic examinations have determined the existence of signs of violence on the victim's body.

For this reason, the Homicide Group has taken charge of the investigations and the Scientific Police has thoroughly traced the house, located in a field area on the road that connects Alzira with the neighboring municipality of Carcaixent.

At the moment, according to sources from the Jefatura to ABC, there have been no arrests.

The agents are taking statements from the woman's relatives and the neighbors of the adjoining houses.
