The National Police has arrested a doctor from a hospital located in the province of Valencia for his alleged involvement in a sexual abuse of a patient, as confirmed by police sources.

The arrest took place on May 17, but the events that led to the doctor's arrest would have occurred at the beginning of the month, according to the Headquarters, whose agents are investigating what happened.

Sources from the Ministry of Health have pointed out that, upon learning of the case, the procedure contemplated for this type of situation was activated, the facts were communicated to the Prosecutor's Office and a file was opened to the doctor, who was provisionally suspended from functions.
