Summer and beach is synonymous with the Valencian Community. The region, bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, is once again the Spanish autonomy with the most blue flags for its beaches, a total of 139.

This was decided by the Association of Environmental and Consumer Education (ADEAC), in relation to the quality of the water and the services it offers to its visitors. In this way, the Valencian Community stands out as the most desired region for its beaches and coves, many of which are already smoke-free.

As explained by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Fernando Valdés, "the beauty of our beaches, the quality of its waters, the safety that our holiday destinations offer tourists and the professionalism that companies and workers in the sector offer tourists constitute the best experience of travel and have undoubtedly placed us in this leadership position.”

From Cullera or Canet d'en Berenguer in Valencia, passing through Altea, Calpe and Denia in Alicante, until reaching Peñíscola, Benicàssim or Nules in Castellón. But there are many more, some new ones such as the Auir beach in Gandía or the Baladrar cove in Benissa, which have been incorporated into the ADEAC list.
