The Takeout: An original CBS News political podcast

The Supreme Court will be weighing in on America's future abortion rights over the next few weeks. Politico published a draft opinion in May that showed the court's conservative majority looking to repeal the Roe opinion's protections and hand over abortion rights to the states. Major is joined by Jan Crawford, CBS News Legal Correspondent, to discuss the details of the opinion and why it may not be the Court’s final word.

Major Garrett, CBS News' Washington correspondent, hosts "The Takeout", a weekly podcast on politics, policy, and pop culture. Listeners will find context and analysis of this week's political news in casual formats that allow for extended conversation with newsmakers. Each episode is recorded while having a meal at Washington, D.C.'s restaurant.

The Takeout airs on CBSN every Friday night at 9 pm ET/PT. The Takeout can also be seen on CBS News Radio affiliates (check your local listings), and on Sirius XM’s P.O.T.U.S. Channel 124, Saturdays at 9 AM. ET, Sundays at 12:01 p.m. ET. Paramount+ also has "The Takeout". Follow @takeoutPodcast on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
