The City Council of Guadalajara is going to implement, starting this summer and progressively, the payment via bizum in the different services of the administration, except the IBI and the Vehicle Tax, in order to streamline procedures and facilitate the residents of the capital a more agile and rapid relationship.

The announcement was made this Tuesday by the Councilor for Economy and Finance, Lucía de Luz, who pointed out that it is a clear commitment to the modernization of the administration, assuring that there will be a telephone number for this, which will be the one to be made. the transfer; initially it will be implemented in basic services such as Culture, for the purchase of tickets for concerts, etc; or for the payment of the rental of sports courts.

According to De Luz, the intention is that this system will be implemented little by little and that it will be used for the payment of any fee if it is observed that it works well; with the exception of IBI and Vehicle Tax, which are payments that are mostly domiciled.

Thus, this system will be added to the telematic payments that are already implemented in the consistory and whose collection already reaches 30%, going from 2 million revenues to 2.6 million. And in specific services such as Sport, the reception has been even higher, with a 250% increase in payment through the web and dataphones, going from 44,000 euros to 177,000 euros.

The mayor has clarified that when it is possible to pay by bizum, the telephone number to which payments can be sent will be announced via the web.

However, he has clarified that although the idea is for the administration to modernize day by day and to provide facilities to its neighbors, whoever wants to continue making payments 'in situ' in the administration, the prior appointment will continue to be valid. "We know that not everyone is used to these systems and we are not going to leave anyone behind," she stressed.

However, the Councilor for Economy and Finance considers that another of the advantages that telematic payment has already brought and will also bring this new system in the capital is the increase in collection.
