The special visits of the pilgrim image of the Virgen de los Desamparados organized on the occasion of the Marian Jubilee Year of the Centenary of the Canonical Coronation will include tours in the “maremóvil” through numerous towns in the Archdiocese, “routes similar to those carried out during the pandemic but , this time, with prior notice so that all devotees can receive the Mare de Déu”, they highlight from the Basilica.

“At the express wish of the Cardinal Archbishop of Valencia, Antonio Cañizares, both special visits have been organized, which will begin this coming weekend in Sagunto, as well as these tours of the image in his 'maremóvil' to bring it closer to all the towns, which They will begin on Tuesday, June 14, in Vicariate IV”, they underline.

During the pandemic, the pilgrim image made, from May 17 to 28, 2021, a tour of the Archdiocese, of nearly 2,800 kilometers, in which it visited more than a hundred towns in its "maremóvil", without prior notice to avoid crowds and comply with the established health protocol.

On this occasion “the image of the Mare de Déu can be received by all the devotees who want to accompany her, for which the days and towns that she will visit are already announced. In each of them, the pilgrim will arrive in the 'maremóvil' to the door of the parish, she will not be lowered but the door of the vehicle will be opened so that the people who come can see her well, pray before her or dedicate a few words to her " , they need.

The organization of the routes has been carried out by territorial Vicariates and will begin next week, once the visit to Sagunto is over from June 10 to 13, with the towns that make up the Vicariate IV "Moncada-Sagunto".

According to the planned calendar, the pilgrim image will travel on Tuesday, June 14, the Valencian districts of Poble Nou, Borbotó, Carpesa and Benifaraig, and will also go to the towns of Alfara del Patriarca, Vinalesa, Almàssera and Tavernes Blanques.

On Wednesday, June 15, the "maremóvil" will stop in Algar, Alfara de la Baronía, Algímia de Alfara, Torres Torres, Estivella, Albalat dels Tarongers, Petrés and Gilet; and on June 16 it will go to Quart de les Valls, Benavites, Quartell, Benifairó de les Valls, Faura and Canet d'en Berenguer.

On Friday, June 17, the pilgrim image will go through Puçol, El Puig de Santa María -whose monastery will go on Sunday, June 26 in a special visit of the Holy Year of the Centenary of the Coronation-, Massalfassar, Rafelbunyol, Massamagrell and Museros.

The route through Vicariate IV will continue its itinerary on Saturday 18 June through Albuixech, the Valencian district of Mauella, Albalat dels Sorells, Foios, Meliana and its district Roca-Cuyper, the district of Cases de Bàrcena, Bonrepós i Mirambell, Emperador and Alboraia.

This first tour of the Vicariate IV will end on Monday June 20 with a visit to the towns of Serra, Náquera, Bétera, the districts of San Isidro de Benagéber and Massarrojos, Moncada and Rocafort. The day will conclude with Godella and Burjassot, which belong to Vicariate III but are included in this first route due to their proximity.

The next route will include towns from Vicariate V “Llíria-Requena-Ademúz” and will begin this June, between the 21st and 23rd, and will continue from the 27th to the 30th. It will then continue in July with the towns and dates to be announced. coming soon.

As established, the image will go on Tuesday June 21 to Contreras, Caudete de las Fuentes, Villargordo del Cabriel, Fuenterrobles, Cuevas de Utiel and Sinarcas; on June 22 it will visit Aras de los Olmos, Tuéjar, Benagéber, Chelva and Calles; and on Thursday the 23rd, Losa del Obispo, Chulilla, Sot de Chera, Chera, Gestalgar, Bugarra and Pedralba.

Afterwards, the special visit of the pilgrim to the monastery of El Puig will take place on Sunday 26, and the route through the towns will resume on Monday 27 in Higueruelas, Andilla, Osset, Alcublas, Villar del Arzobispo, Casinos and Domeño.

On Tuesday, June 28, he will visit Gátova, Marines, Olocau, Llíria and Benissanó and will also visit the Doctor Moliner Hospital, in Serra, and the Llíria Regional Hospital; while on June 29 it will go to La Yesa, Alpuente, Corcolilla, Titaguas, Arcos and El Collado.

The route through Vicariate V will end -in June- on the 30th with a visit to the towns of Cofrentes, Millares, Cortes de Pallás, Dos Aguas, Yátova, Alborache and Turís.
