The group specializing in nautical tourism and thematic voyages WorldWide Nautic-All, through its Oceanosophia project, and the Oceanographic of the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia have presented this Tuesday the voyage «The Sea and polar explorations II» .

A trip around the Arctic Circle aboard the "Antigua", a historic sailing ship with a program of activities based on experimentation, knowledge and observation related to the marine world and the Arctic ecosystem.

The experience will take place from December 2 to 12, will begin and end in the Norwegian city of Tromso and will welcome 32 passengers, who can already reserve their place through the respective websites, in which all the conditions of the trip are specified. and the different rates.

The presentation of this Tuesday in the Arctic area of ​​the Oceanogràfic has been given by the director of the voyage, Alberto de Zunzunegui, the director of the Oceanogràfic, Eduardo Nogués, the director of management control of the Oceanogràfic of the City of Arts and Sciences, Francisco Torner, and the prestigious scientist and disseminator, Javier Cacho, who was part of the First Spanish Scientific Expedition to Antarctica.

Javier Cacho and Francisco Torner will be the experts who direct the thematic program on board the ship with training activities and talks on exploration and the ecosystem of the polar region.

This trip called "The sea and polar explorations II" will begin on December 2 at the El Prat Airport in Barcelona with destination to the Norwegian city of Tromso, where the Polaria Museum and the Polar Museum will be visited, with an optional sled excursion pulled by dogs

The ship will set sail on the 4th from the port of Tromso and, for six days, will sail along the Norwegian fjords, entering the Arctic Circle. During the voyage, passengers will learn the history of one of the most inhospitable areas on the planet, they will learn about the ships that crossed unknown waters between ice, storms and cold, and they will have the opportunity to spot whales and observe the wonderful northern lights, equally common during the winter months.

It is a trip planned from a formative and enriching experience, aimed at people who are passionate about the sea, navigation, history and culture of the Arctic.

In addition to the aforementioned activities, the participants will be able to acquire, from the hands of those in charge, knowledge about the Arctic ecosystem and will be anchored or moored, weather permitting, in several small fishing and livestock towns to learn how to life of its inhabitants.

The corridor has shown the loophole in ports such as Andfjord, Senja, Andenes, Gryllefjord, Skrolsvik, Sommaroy, Burfjorden, Hamnnes, Uloya, Nord-Lenangen.

The 49-meter-long brig «Antigua» is a ship characterized by its classic design, with a capacity to accommodate up to 32 passengers, divided into sixteen double cabins with bathroom.

The experienced crew and modern navigation equipment guarantee the safety of the crossings, turning the experience into a wonderful nautical adventure.
