The managing director of the Public Employment Service of Castilla y León (Ecyl), Javier Moreno Espeja, who had taken office on May 27, has submitted his resignation after it was revealed that he is a partner of the company that teaches the equality in the Valladolid City Council and who have been questioned by Vox, the party that proposed him to hold the position of manager of Ecyl.
Sources from the Junta de Castilla y León have confirmed that Moreno Espeja has submitted his resignation due to the controversy raised in the debate on a Vox motion, in which the suppression of these courses has been requested, but where it has been known that the director manager of the Public Employment Service of Castilla y León (Ecyl) is a partner of the company Data Consulting, winner of the workshops.
According to the same sources, the until now managing director of Ecyl does not want to harm the party that proposed him for the position, of which he had just taken office, since he was appointed by the Governing Council on May 26 and a day later he swore the position in the presence of the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Employment, Mariano Veganzones.
The plenary session of the Valladolid City Council has debated this Monday a motion of the only Vox councilor, Javier García, in which he has asked for the suppression of these courses, considering that schoolchildren are "indoctrinated", although it was rejected by all the groups municipal councils and has only had their vote in favour.
However, the socialist municipal spokesman, Pedro Herrero, has revealed that these workshops are taught by the aforementioned company of which he is a partner, whom Vox proposed as managing director of Ecyl, reports Ical.
