The last of Azovstal: surviving in the tunnels of the Mariupol steelworks

Ukrainian soldiers resist, and survive as they can, in unhealthy conditions and with a lack of provisions, wounded and worn by war, in the depths of the Azovstal steelworks, in Mariupol.

These images have been published by the soldiers of the Azov battalion through their Telegram channel with the purpose of making a call for help to be evacuated immediately and receive adequate medical attention.

"We call on the UN and the Red Cross to show their humanity and reaffirm the basic principles on which they were created by rescuing civilians. The military you see in the photo and hundreds more at the Azovstal plant defended Ukraine" , they add and wonder: "Can not Ukraine and the world community now protect and care for them?"
