The Generalitat has presented this Tuesday an appeal for reversal against the order of the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) to apply the sentence that sets 25% of Spanish in the Catalan school.

At a press conference after the Consell Executiu, the spokeswoman for the Government, Patricia Plaja, explained that the appeal asks to suspend the effects of the order until the appeal is resolved due to the "serious damage that the entire educational community can cause" to apply this order.

Plaja has highlighted that the Government wants to act in all areas to defend Catalan against the 25% sentence and has pointed out that, in addition to the judicial appeal, it is working to promote the "necessary legislative modifications" as soon as possible with the support of the maximum of parliamentary groups and a decree law that serves to protect educational centers.
