The Parliament of Galicia will appoint next Tuesday, May 24, the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, and his deputy secretary of Organization, Miguel Tellado, senators by autonomous appointment. The opposition -BNG and PSdeG- coincide in criticizing this election as a "partisan use of institutions" by the popular.

In particular, following the progress of the representatives of the three parliamentary groups to finalize the Xunta de Portavoces, the plenary session will start at 4:00 pm with the appointment of the senators, which will be through a slip and a ballot box.

Thus, the deputies will be able to choose whether or not to support the candidacy of Tellado and Feijóo, without being able to vote against it --only abstain or vote null--.

In addition, Tuesday's plenary session will elect the new first vice president of the Parliamentary Bureau, since the previous holder of this position, Diego Calvo Pouso, took office on Monday as second vice president of the Xunta and councilor of the Presidency, Justice and Sports.
