A fault that affects the electrification system has caused the interruption of the Madrid-Barcelona High Speed ​​line. The breakdown affects a train belonging to a railway operator other than Renfe, as reported by the company to Europa Press. Given this incident, completely unrelated to Renfe, the railway company is managing an alternative road service in order to guarantee the mobility of affected customers. For now the estimated delay time is two hours.

In addition, Renfe allows changes and cancellations free of charge and maintains its voluntary commitment to punctuality. The company has highlighted that technicians from Adif and the affected railway operator are working on resolving the incident.

For its part, Adif has reported that since 2:55 p.m. an Ouigo Long Distance train has been stopped on the route between Ariza and Alhama de Aragón, standard gauge, with the catenary detached.

The incident affects all the trains of the Madrid-Zaragoza-Barcelona HSL and the Long Distance trains 9730 Ave Marsella - Pta. Atocha. Adif highlights that it works in the area from the first moment to resolve incidents and provide alternatives to passengers. To do this, the company has moved another convoy to the area to evacuate the affected travelers.
