The Generalitat has reported 3,144 new cases of coronavirus in the Valencian Community, 1,522 of them in those over 60 years of age, and six more deaths since the last update last Friday, as reported by the Ministry of Health.

The new cases of covid by provinces are 345 in Castellón (178,003 in total), 1,180 in Alicante (498,011 in total) and 1,619 in Valencia (775,662 in total). Of these, 193 cases correspond to people over 60 years of age from Castellón, 579 from Alicante and 750 from Valencia.

According to the information also provided this Tuesday by the Ministry of Health, the accumulated incidence of the coronavirus in the Valencian Community is above 407 cases among the group of people over sixty years of age.

Valencian hospitals currently have 576 people admitted affected by the coronavirus, 33 of them in the ICU: 105 in the province of Castellón, 2 in the ICU; 195 in the province of Alicante, 20 of them in the ICU; and 276 in the province of Valencia, 11 in the ICU.

Likewise, six deaths from coronavirus have been reported since the last update, all with a date of death in the last seven days corresponding to two women between 86 and 93 years old, and four men between 78 and 85 years old.

The total number of deaths caused by the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic amounts to 9,470: 1,110 in the province of Castellón, 3,599 in Alicante and 4,761 in Valencia.
