Brazilian Bruno Lobo took first place in the provisional classification of the third stop of Cutty Sark “Spirit of Adventure” FKSS on the first day of competition. In the Advanced category, the Mallorcan Àngel Candel achieved impeccable results, while in the F-one Amateur category Victor Buenavida achieved a first provisional position.

The Platja Gran de Palamós woke up with summer weather and at 2:30 p.m. a south-southwest wind with an intensity of 10 knots with gusts of 14, allowed the regatta committee to hoist the Delta flag on the beach.

In the regatta field, the Brazilian Bruno Lobo gave no respite to his rivals, not even the current circuit champion Alejandro Climent, who had just obtained perfect results in Gijón.

Race after race, Lobo crossed the finish line in first position in five of the six races held. Behind him, with a difference of just 4 points, Climent finished the tests in second position, only managing to finish ahead of Lobo in one of the races.

After reaching the beach, the Brazilian commented: “Today has been a very good day, we have been able to complete the six tasks without any problem thanks to the perfect wind conditions. I am very happy with my results and I hope to continue giving my best in the coming days”.

Carlos Puig from Castellón placed provisionally in third place in the Open Pro category of the Cutty Sark “Spirit of Adventure” FKSS Palamós. With one second, three third and two fourth places, he was only 6 points behind Climent.

On the other hand, the emotion in the regatta field was experienced by the Advanced class, who together with the Amateur class, shared the regatta field with the highest level riders as it happened in the previous regatta in Gijón.

The sailor of the Real Club Nàutic Port de Pollença Àngel Candel could not have finished better the first day of competition in Palamós, as he managed to finish the six rounds of the day in first position with a net total of 5 points. Behind Candel, Pau Soler and Adrián Albiñana competed for second and third place, finishing Albiñana in second provisional position thanks to an error made by Soler in the last leg.

Finally, the Catalan Victor Buenavida managed to improve his results obtained in the Cutty Sark “Spirit of Adventure” FKSS Gijón, finishing the first day of regattas in Palamós dominating the classification of the F-one Amateur category.
