The National Police has arrested the man who allegedly attacked another in the Ciudad Real town of Puertollano with a knife on Monday. The events would have occurred as a result of a traffic dispute between the two.

This has been confirmed to Europa Press by sources from the National Police, who report that the events took place around 8:30 p.m. on the Paseo de San Gregorio in the town, in a double-lane area, when two drivers started an argument.

The two beat each other up until one of them, a 50-year-old man, stabbed the victim, a 46-year-old man, with a small knife, leaving the scene.

The National Police attended the scene with medical services, which assisted the victim and transferred her to the Puertollano hospital, where they had to intervene for her injuries and where she remains stable.

Approximately one hour after the events, the National Police located the alleged aggressor and arrested him for an alleged crime of serious injuries. The Judicial Police of Puertollano has opened proceedings and is investigating the facts.
