We're on the express train traveling from Taipei to Kaohsiung when my translator, Hugo, starts asking me a lot of questions. What do I think of Lithuania? Is it easy to start a business there? Easier than in Germany? Or in Denmark? I'm usually the one peppering him with questions, from his military experience to his night market dining recommendations. Hugo himself was a journalist in Taiwan for a long time. He grew up here, has worked as a tour guide and farmer and is currently starting his own gin business. He also helps foreign journalists like me. It takes me a little while to understand the background of his questions.
