Well, what's that coming in through the train door? That's probably what many travelers must have thought when several young men boarded a regional train in Switzerland. Because on the platform at the St. Fiden stop, a group had a cow with them - and they didn't leave it in front of the door, but guided it into the train by its halter.

From the point of view of its owners, the large animal was well prepared for the train journey: During the journey, the cow received enough pats, and since not every cow is housebroken, the men also brought along a bucket, straw and a broom.

The reason for the unusual fellow travelers was apparently an agricultural fair last week. The young cattle were also there and should now be brought back home by their owner - the young man decided on what was probably the most unusual method.

The farmer had good news for all animal lovers: On request, he informed the "Bayerisches Landwirtschafts Wochenblatt" that the animal had arrived safely at home despite being transported by train. For him, the feedback was mainly positive.

The "Thurbo" railway company was also relaxed: "We hope that at least one valid ticket was available", as a company spokesman told "FM1Today". The young animal owner does not have to fear a complaint: "We will show mercy before justice and hope that the even-toed ungulate was able to enjoy the ride on our train."

The responsible police authority also agrees: the St. Gallen city police were informed, but did not have to move out after consultation with the SBB (Swiss Federal Railways).
