In Straubing, a person was run over several times in a fatal traffic accident on the B8. The police are using a helicopter and "extensive search measures" to search for the truck that is said to have run over the victim first on Thursday morning, according to the police headquarters in Lower Bavaria.

It was initially unclear whether the person killed was a woman or a man. According to initial findings, he or she is said to have been on a bridge over the B8 shortly before the accident. Apparently, several other vehicles could not avoid the truck and also ran over the person.
